I’m Aaron Sotiropoulos, a Software Engineering student at Flinders University. I’ve always been interested in building things and understanding how they work. In high school, I got into building PCs, which sparked my interest in both hardware and software. Although I went into software engineering not knowing exactly what to expect, over time it’s become something I genuinely enjoy. Now in my third year, I’ve found a real passion for it and I’m excited to see where it takes me.
Outside of software, I enjoy working on personal ideas, creative projects, and looking after myself. I spend my nights working at Coles, one day a week making gelato for my family business, and a lot of my spare time in the gym. If I’m not doing any of that, you’ll probably find me talking to ChatGPT about how I can one day build my own defence tech firm.
As I continue through university, I want to grow into a software engineer who can contribute to strong, real-world projects and continue developing both technically and creatively. I’m especially interested in going into a defence career working on military equipment and machines I am also intrested in building systems and digital experiences that are clean, functional, and genuinely useful.
